Civil Engineer

On behalf of our client, an established company operating in the construction and development sector, we are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join the company's team based in Karystos, Evia. The company is seeking a responsible and organized professional who will be able to undertake the supervision of construction works, the coordination of crews and subcontractors, the monitoring of schedules, and the assurance of project quality and safety. This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer who wishes to have an active role in the implementation of private construction projects and to contribute significantly to their proper planning and successful completion. The suitable candidate will be responsible for the organization, coordination, and supervision of construction works, working both from the company's headquarters and at construction sites, when required. The role includes the coordination of crews and subcontractors, monitoring the progress and schedules of projects, quality control, adherence to safety rules, as well as supporting technical and administrative processes related to construction projects. The ideal candidate should possess technical expertise, organizational skills, responsibility, and the willingness to take initiatives for the smooth progress of projects.

Duties

• Organization, coordination, and supervision of works at construction sites.
• Monitoring the daily progress of construction works.
• Coordination of crews, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Allocation of tasks and monitoring of their correct execution.
• Ensuring adherence to agreed schedules.
• Preparation and monitoring of work programs.
• Conducting visits and inspections at construction sites when required.
• Quality control of construction works and ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
• Ensuring the implementation of necessary health and safety procedures at construction sites.
• Checking architectural and technical drawings, specifications, and related technical documentation.
• Identifying technical or operational problems and coordinating the necessary solutions.
• Collaboration with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and others involved in the projects.
• Monitoring pending items and timely follow-up for the completion of necessary actions.
• Informing Management regarding the progress of projects and technical developments.
• Maintaining an organized archive of technical documents, project data, and related correspondence.
• Supporting processes regarding building permits, regularization of unauthorized constructions, and other urban planning or construction approvals, where required.
• Preparation and management of technical documentation for private construction projects.
• Ensuring effective communication between the office, construction sites, external partners, and Management.

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized educational institution.
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in the supervision of private construction projects.
• Professional license and registration with the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) will be considered an additional asset.
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Very good understanding of construction methods, technical drawings, and construction site operations.
• Experience in the coordination of crews, contractors, or subcontractors.
• Knowledge of processes regarding the issuance of building permits and property regularizations will be considered a significant advantage.
• Very good organizational and coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to solve problems and take initiatives.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines.
• Responsibility, consistency, and professionalism.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel and visit construction sites when required.
• Ability to work on a service provision basis, where required.
• Completed military obligations, where applicable.

• Net monthly salary approximately €1,800, depending on experience and qualifications.
