Mid-Level Database Analyst (Night Shift)

As a Mid-Level Database Analyst at Darede, you will be responsible for attending to alerts, incidents, and performing root cause analysis according to defined prioritization and SLAs. Execute changes (GMUD) at pre-determined times according to the defined implementation plan (PI).

Responsibilities and assignments

• Attend to alerts, incidents, and perform root cause analysis according to defined prioritization and SLAs.
• Execute changes (GMUD) at pre-determined times according to the defined implementation plan (PI).
• Report and escalate cases of failure or recurrence of alerts to management.
• Configure, monitor, and optimize database instances in AWS, such as Amazon RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, among others.
• Installation, configuration, and parameterization of databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Mysql, Postgres).
• Monitor the performance of database instances and identify bottlenecks to optimize performance.
• Ensure the integrity, security, and reliability of the data stored in the database.
• Implement backup and data recovery strategies to ensure business continuity and data protection.
• Maintain scripts and stored procedures to automate routine tasks and ensure data consistency.
• Manage database scalability as demand grows, using resources such as auto-scaling and dynamic provisioning.
• Work in close collaboration with other information technology teams to integrate the database into other applications and systems.
• Provide technical support and resolve problems related to databases to ensure continuous system availability.
• Execute procedures and create/update documents in the knowledge base.
• Create new environments, perform migrations, upgrades, and apply patches.

Requirements and qualifications

• Ability to work in a team and good interpersonal communication.
• Advanced knowledge in at least one DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, Mysql, Postgres).
• Knowledge in Cloud AWS.
• Schedule: Night shift 10 PM to 6 AM, Mon to Fri.
• Education: Completed Higher Education / Currently studying
• Differential knowledge:
• Certifications in public cloud AWS.
• Database certifications.
• Query tuning.
• English: Capable of writing and reading emails/documentation, participating as a listener in meetings and training.
