Senior Procurement Manager

DarcyBrook Procurement & Supply chain are working with an engineering organisation who are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager with a strong background in mechanical engineering. A critical requirement for this position is extensive experience in sourcing mechanically engineered components from Asian markets.

Candidate Profile

• Global Leadership: Proven senior-level experience bridging mechanical engineering and strategic purchasing, with a successful track record operating across Asian and European markets.
• Manufacturing Expertise: Deep, practical understanding of machined component manufacturing. You know exactly how parts are manufactured, how to accurately model their costs, and how to proactively identify potential quality risks.
• Approach: Highly practical, energetic, and driven

Key Responsibilities

• Supply Chain Expansion: Identify, evaluate, and cultivate top-tier third-party machining partners?with a heavy focus on the Asian market?to build a resilient, scalable supply network for future growth.
• Technical Sourcing: Leverage your manufacturing expertise to oversee the procurement of highly complex machined parts, ensuring all vendors fully grasp and consistently meet strict technical specifications and quality benchmarks.
• Commercial Strategy & Cost Reduction: Drive vendor negotiations and continuously scrutinise total acquisition costs. You will pinpoint opportunities to maximise margins and achieve sustainable savings without sacrificing product performance.
• Inventory & Production Alignment: Synchronise vendor output and part availability with internal manufacturing and build schedules, guaranteeing a steady, reliable flow of materials to our assembly and testing hubs.
