DarcyBrook Procurement & Supply Chain are looking to recruit an Engineering Procurement Estimator. In this highly technical procurement role, you will manage a multi-million-pound spend by translating complex engineering requirements into accurate, competitive costs while maintaining strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Precision Quoting: Price key commodities, based on client enquiries.
• Cost Reduction: Lower total acquisition costs across materials, labour, machining, and finished components.
• Supply Chain Management: Monitor supplier capacity to optimise lead times and ensure agile production.
• Quality & Compliance: Guarantee all quoted components meet precise technical specifications.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the primary link between the supply chain and internal operations.

Requirements

• Technical Expertise: Strong engineering or machine shop background with the ability to interpret machine drawings for accurate pricing.
• Procurement Experience: Proven track record managing high-value spend, commodity management, and reducing total acquisition costs.
• Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of metal commodity markets and technical standards.
• Negotiation Skills: Ability to effectively influence vendors to improve costs and lead times.
• Systems Fluency: Experience with integrated ERP systems and MS Office.
