Regional HR Advisor
Are you an HR professional who enjoys getting out into the business rather than spending every day behind a desk?
Dalton Recruitment is representing a client who is looking for a confident and approachable Regional HR Advisor to support a busy, multi-site operation across the UK. Based out of the client's Lutterworth premises but with regular travel to UK-wide sites (including one in Scotland, Hampshire & South Wales), this is a varied, hands-on opportunity where you’ll work directly with managers, helping them tackle day-to-day people challenges, providing hands-on HR advice, coaching and supporting them across a varied operational landscape to help create a positive working environment and consistent employee experience.
With responsibility across a network of locations, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to understand different operational environments, build strong relationships and make a visible difference.
This would be a great opportunity for an HR Advisor who enjoys being close to the operation, wants plenty of variety where they can genuinely influence how managers support and develop their teams but who is also looking for professional development and longer-term career progression.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll become a trusted HR partner to managers across the region, providing practical advice and support on a broad range of people matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising managers on employee relations matters including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance cases
- Coaching managers to handle people issues confidently and effectively
- Supporting formal meetings and ensuring fair, consistent and well-documented processes
- Building strong relationships across multiple operational sites
- Helping ensure HR policies and processes are applied consistently
- Monitoring ER cases and using data to spot trends, risks and areas for improvement
- Carrying out HR health checks to identify compliance and people risks
- Delivering practical HR training and helping strengthen management capability
- Supporting engagement initiatives, employee forums and local communications
- Coordinating learning, compliance and other regional HR activity
- Contributing ideas and getting involved in wider HR projects and improvements
What we’re looking for
You’ll be someone who combines solid HR knowledge with a pragmatic and people-focused approach. You’ll be comfortable challenging when needed, but equally skilled at building trust and helping managers find workable solutions.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
- Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Hands-on experience managing employee relations cases
- Confidence coaching and advising managers
- Experience within a fast-paced, operational and/or multi-site environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence using HR data to identify trends and themes
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Flexibility to travel regularly between locations
- A full UK driving licence
What’s on offer
Alongside a salary of up to £40,000, the package includes £5,500 per annum car allowance, 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, private medical cover, pension contributions and life assurance.
If you’re looking for your next HR opportunity and enjoy combining employee relations expertise with coaching, relationship building and continuous improvement, we’d love to hear from you.
