Education:
Bachelor's degree.
Tasks:
- Advise customers on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage.
- Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other health care professionals.
- Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Advise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medication.
- Check prescriptions for proper dosage.
- Manage the storage, packaging and distribution of medicinal products .
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses :
Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
Work conditions and physical capabilities:
Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Attention to detail. Tight deadlines.
