Toll Manufacturing Supervisor

Supervise daily manufacturing, processing, tolling, and packaging schedules to meet target outputs and delivery dates.

Monitor key performance metrics (yield, cycle time, downtime, batch throughput) and implement process optimizations.

Oversee material staging, continuous processing, batching, and inventory reconciliation for tolling runs.

Coordinate production schedules, technical specifications, and raw material deliveries with external toll manufacturing partners.

Serve as the primary technical and operational liaison between internal plant teams and external toll process facilities.

Audit third-party toll facilities for quality compliance, safety standards, and batch consistency.

Ensure strict adherence to ISO, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and customer specifications.

Review batch manufacturing records (BMRs), quality control sample results, and analytical test sheets prior to product release.

Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints, and root causes using formal techniques (5-Why, CAPA).

Enforce site Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines and OSHA requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related scientific/engineering discipline.

Min. Experience : 5 to 7 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing, shop-floor operations, technical transfer, or external manufacturing/CMO management.

Ability to negotiate operational timelines, manage conflicts, and enforce accountability with third-party vendors.

Strong communication skills to liaise effectively between internal technical teams and external CMO leadership.
