Our team is responsible for surface and process technology as well as work preparation and production planning for painting, parts production, and seat production at the Neu-Ulm location. Together, we design economical, environmentally friendly, and quality-compliant production processes and accompany their implementation in series production. In doing so, we work closely with production, development, purchasing, quality, occupational safety, environmental protection, and other plants.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Functional and disciplinary leadership as well as further development of the team
• Planning, design, and documentation of economical production processes for painting, parts production, and seat production
• Development and implementation of concepts for process, technology, and cost optimization
• Evaluation, testing, and approval of new materials, coating materials, processes, and technologies for series production
• Ensuring quality, occupational safety, environmental protection, and compatibility with series materials
• Advising development, production, and other plants on process-reliable product and production design
• Technical control of suppliers as well as coordination with internal and external partners
• Co-leadership of a cross-departmental and cross-location project for the further development and implementation of the components strategy

Qualifications

WHY YOU FIT US

• Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering, materials technology, or a comparable qualification, ideally with a focus on surface technology or corrosion
• Several years of experience in the commercial vehicle industry in the areas of surface technology, corrosion protection, or production technology
• Sound knowledge in process, coating, and adhesive technology as well as in the evaluation of new materials and technologies
• Knowledge of quality management and relevant auditing standards, such as VDA 6.1 and VDA 6.3
• Leadership competence, strong communication and decision-making skills, as well as very good written and spoken English skills
