Solution Architect / Technical Delivery Lead

About the Role

Our client is a globally recognised professional services and technology firm delivering large-scale digital transformation programmes across the public and private sectors. They are seeking a hands-on Solution Architect to lead the architecture and technical delivery of a strategic digital MVP encompassing modern web applications, enterprise system integration, AI-enabled capabilities, and cloud-native delivery.

This is a high-intensity, short-duration engagement (approximately 3 months) based in Singapore, offering the opportunity to drive meaningful impact within a compressed timeline. The role is ideal for a technically grounded architect who is equally comfortable shaping solution design and rolling up their sleeves alongside engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and document the target-state application, integration, security, and deployment architecture, producing solution designs, technical specifications, and implementation guidance for a modern web-based MVP
• Design secure, scalable, and maintainable services and front-end applications, and establish integration patterns between the MVP and existing enterprise systems, identity services, APIs, and data sources
• Translate stakeholder requirements and user journeys into implementable features, technical work packages, and engineering tasks, leading technical planning, design reviews, and implementation readiness activities
• Remain sufficiently hands-on to review code, integrations, test coverage, and deployment readiness, and support iterative demonstrations, acceptance activities, and issue resolution throughout delivery
• Establish AI-assisted engineering practices using tools such as AI coding assistants and specification-driven development frameworks; review and validate AI-generated code, tests, and documentation before use
• Design AI-enabled capabilities — such as intelligent workflows, agent orchestration, recommendation logic, or predictive features — and embed appropriate guardrails, traceability, and auditability controls into the delivery process
• Apply public-sector security and governance standards (including IM8-aligned controls covering data protection, identity, access control, and logging), and support architecture and security review processes such as PSARC or equivalent
• Coach engineers through architecture, implementation, and troubleshooting activities; conduct design walkthroughs and code reviews; and transfer reusable engineering standards and development practices to the client's internal teams

Requirements

• Approximately 10 or more years of relevant technology experience in a role such as Solution Architect, Technical Architect, Principal Engineer, or Technical Lead, with demonstrated responsibility for designing and delivering enterprise-scale digital applications and integrations
• Strong hands-on engineering background, preferably with Java and Spring Boot back-end services alongside modern JavaScript or TypeScript front-end frameworks (e.g. Vue.js), and experience delivering cloud-native applications on AWS
• Proven ability to lead engineers through implementation, quality reviews, automated testing, and production readiness, and to communicate architecture decisions and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working in government, public-sector, regulated, or large-enterprise environments, with familiarity with IM8 controls and supporting formal architecture or security clearance processes such as PSARC (is a bonus)
• Practical experience using a specification-driven development workflow with AI coding assistants, or equivalent structured prompt-engineering and human-review practices (is a bonus)
• Experience designing AI agents, agent orchestration, recommendation engines, or predictive capabilities, and integrating role-based identity and access-management services (is a bonus)
