Senior Database Administrator (DBA)

Your tasks

• Manage and maintain production databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB.
• Operate AWS database services such as RDS, Aurora, ElastiCache, and DynamoDB.
• Optimize database performance through SQL tuning, indexing, monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Design and maintain high-availability, replication, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Troubleshoot database incidents, perform root cause analysis, and improve system reliability.
• Automate database operations using Python, Bash, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Implement database security, access controls, encryption, and compliance best practices.
• Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, and development teams on database migrations, upgrades, and architecture improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of database administration or engineering experience, including hands-on AWS database experience.
• Strong expertise in MySQL and/or PostgreSQL, including performance tuning, replication, and high availability.
• Solid experience with AWS RDS, Aurora, or other managed database services.
• Proficiency in Linux, SQL troubleshooting, and scripting (Python/Bash).
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Understanding of cloud networking, database security, and disaster recovery.
• Experience supporting high-traffic, business-critical production systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Experience with Redis, MongoDB, Kafka, or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, AWS multi-region deployments, and cloud migration.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
• Background in large-scale internet platforms, e-commerce, or SaaS environments.
