In-House Junior Legal Counsel (Tech Industry)

A listed freight tech company is expanding into Southeast Asia and looking for their first legal hire in Singapore. This is a broad, generalist role — you’ll handle day-to-day contracts, general corporate matters, and provide legal support to the business team as the company scales regionally.

Your tasks
What you’ll do
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts and platform agreements
- Provide day-to-day legal support for operations, compliance and corporate governance
- Research and monitor laws and regulations across target markets in Southeast Asia
- Handle employment matters, customer disputes and incident response as they arise
- Manage external counsel and coordinate with the overseas HQ on legal matters
- Develop compliance guidelines and support business teams on risk awareness
Requirements
What we’re looking for
- Law degree with 1+ year of legal experience (law firm or in-house)
- Comfortable working in a lean, fast-moving environment
- Proactive and able to work independently
