Electrical Engineering Team Leader Swadlincote £51,000 + Overtime Conti's - 4 on 4 off - Days & Nights We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineering Team Leader to join a well-established manufacturing business based in the Swadlincote area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer or existing Engineering Team Leader who is looking to take responsibility for a small engineering team while remaining hands-on within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining site reliability, supporting and developing engineers and apprentices, and ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is completed effectively.
The Role Lead and support a small team of Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers
Carry out 1-to-1s and support team KPIs
Support the training and development of engineers and apprentices
Planned and reactive maintenance across production equipment
Electrical and mechanical fault finding
PLC fault finding, including inputs and outputs
Work with sensors, relays, drives and control systems
Fault finding on single and three-phase electrical systems
Identify recurring faults and support continuous improvements
Maintain high standards of engineering and functional safety
Remain hands-on while providing day-to-day leadership to the engineering team
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical background and previous experience within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
Previous supervisory, team leading or mentoring experience would be highly beneficial. However, experienced engineers who are ready to take the next step into leadership will also be considered. You should have: ONC qualification or equivalent as a minimum
HNC qualification would be advantageous
Strong electrical fault-finding skills
PLC fault-finding experience
Experience with sensors, relays and drives
Single and three-phase electrical knowledge
Planned and reactive maintenance experience
Experience within manufacturing, production or heavy industry
Strong communication and leadership skills
A proactive approach to fault finding and problem solving
