HGV Driver

Custom Compost UC requires 2 HGV Drivers to safely and efficiently transport mushroom substrate from production facilities to farms/customers, using walking floor trailers ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining product quality and full compliance with Irish road transport legislation and RSA standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate HGV vehicles (articulated) for scheduled deliveries
• Load and unload mushroom substrate using walking floor trailers
• Transport goods in a manner that maintains hygiene and product quality
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, including rural farm locations
• Complete delivery dockets, logs, and digital records accurately
• Carry out daily walkaround vehicle checks in line with RSA guidelines
• Report defects immediately and ensure vehicles are roadworthy
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness to meet agricultural biosecurity standards
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and farm staff
