PMO - Aerospace Defense Pre-Sales (M/F)

Contract: Executive status. Location: Bordeaux Metropolitan Area (33) - Eligible for partial teleworking. Security Clearance: Position subject to obtaining Confidential Defense / Secret Defense clearance.

Join a major player in the Bordeaux region specializing in the design and manufacture of very high value-added composite structures (rocket engine bodies, pressure vessels, missile structures). In a cutting-edge technological environment, you will hold a pivotal role at the crossroads of tender responses, industrial costing, and the management of complex projects based on the filament winding process.

Your mission:

Customer Support - Costing (Pre-Sales):

Review and analysis of customer specifications (RFI/RFP) to evaluate technical feasibility related to the filament winding process.

Preparation of quotes and techno-commercial offers (non-recurring and recurring costs - NRC/RC): costing of materials (carbon/aramid fibers, resins), winding/curing times, mandrel tooling, and associated inspections (NDT, hydrotests).

Technical support and defense of offers during negotiation phases with major ASD customers.

Project Management - Process Monitoring:

Orchestration of the complete manufacturing cycle: from mandrel procurement to the delivery of polymerized and qualified structures.

Monitoring of manufacturing milestones (wet winding/towpreg, oven/autoclave polymerization, machining, non-destructive testing).

Management of technical risks (material health, fiber trajectories, compactness) and application of mitigation measures.

Facilitation of governance meetings (EVM, PDR/CDR milestones, progress KPIs) with Management and the Design/Methods teams.

Your profile Education: Engineering Degree (Master's level) in general engineering, mechanics, or materials, with a strong specialization in composite materials.

Experience: 3 to 7 years of experience in a PMO, Costing/Quoting Engineer, or Project Manager position within a constrained industrial environment (Aerospace, Space, Defense).

Technical skills:

In-depth knowledge of composite manufacturing processes (ideally filament winding).

Mastery of techno-economic costing methodologies (NRC/RC costing, customer CDC) and PMO/EVM tools.

Knowledge of sector quality/certification requirements (EN 9100, PDR/CDR review milestones, RAMS).

Soft skills & Languages: Excellent interpersonal skills, operational rigor, negotiation skills, and transverse leadership. Fluent professional English.
