Engineer Fire protection

You will get the opportunity to delve into advanced technical solutions and international standards, regulations, and certifications within the fire protection sector. In doing so, you will work closely with various internal departments, customers, certification bodies, and external partners.

The role is varied and combines hands-on engineering, technical design, testing, and certification management. Additionally, you will travel approximately once a month for, for example, project support, certification audits, site assessments, or visits to customers and partners.

As an Engineer Fire Protection:

• You provide technical support during the development, improvement, and full lifecycle of fire protection products.
• You delve into relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications and apply them within product development.
• You collaborate with external certification bodies, product specialists, and regulatory authorities to obtain and maintain international approvals.
• You participate, where relevant, in committees and consultations regarding industry standards.
• You work directly with customers to tailor technical fire protection solutions to their specific applications.
• You develop test programs for product functionality, potential failure modes, and application criteria.
• You follow up on test programs, analyze the results, and report your findings.
• You use 3D CAD software for technical designs.
• You draft change instructions and update article data and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• You work closely with Sales, Marketing, Production, and Quality to resolve technical questions and clarify requirements.
• You support material assessments and technical analyses.
• You travel approximately once a month for project support, certification audits, and visits to customers or partners.
• You continuously expand your knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and certification processes.
• You handle all information you work with carefully and confidentially.

You have a technical background and are curious about how products and systems work. You combine an analytical mindset with a practical approach and find it interesting to immerse yourself in a specialized technical environment.

Additionally:

• You have a higher technical education. Equivalent practical experience is also considered.
• You have good practical knowledge of 3D CAD software and common office software.
• You are highly motivated to learn about international standards, regulations, and approval processes within fire protection.
• You possess strong analytical thinking skills and can critically assess technical data.
• You find it a challenge to analyze and solve complex technical problems.
• You enjoy collaborating with various internal departments and external partners.
• You are strong in communication and able to build and maintain professional relationships.
• You are willing to travel occasionally.
• You have excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
