Accountant A to Y/Z
As an accountant, you will take on a broad role within the financial administration. You ensure that the accounting is processed correctly and timely and prepare various financial processes.
Your package of tasks includes, among others:
- You perform the daily accounting processing and controls.
- You check and prepare invoices for processing and payment.
- You ensure that payments are prepared correctly.
- You prepare the monthly and annual closings.
- You are responsible for the preparation of VAT returns and Intrastat returns.
- You process and check documents regarding import, customs, and international transactions.
- You follow up on the cash planning.
- You support the financial administration of various companies.
- You take into account the various international structures and administrative obligations.
- You collaborate on the correct processing of transactions between the different entities.
- You think along about how processes can run more efficiently and clearly.
- You form an important confidant for management regarding financial and administrative questions.
You will find yourself in an environment that is constantly in motion. The transition to Business Central and the expansion of the number of companies ensure that not everything is fully in place yet. You will therefore not only receive an executive role, but also the opportunity to help bring structure.
For this position, we are looking for someone who has already built a solid foundation within accounting. A profile with approximately at least 5 years of experience aligns well with what the organization is looking for. A very junior profile is less suitable, as you need sufficient maturity and independence to oversee the various files and international context.
In addition, you recognize yourself in the following characteristics:
- You have experience within an accounting function and feel comfortable with a broad A-Y/A-Z role.
- You are familiar with the basic principles of VAT and financial administration.
- Experience with an international environment is a strong asset.
- You are not intimidated by complex administrative structures or different companies.
- Experience with intercompany is a bonus, but not a requirement. Thanks to the automation within Business Central, this is also easy to learn.
- You work punctually and have an eye for detail.
- You are methodical and love to bring structure.
- You communicate clearly and directly, without coming across as too harsh or rigid.
- You take responsibility and like to build a relationship of trust with your colleagues and managers.
- You are driven and take initiative. A passive attitude is less suitable for this position.
- You have a good knowledge of French and English. Both languages are important in the daily cooperation with the various countries.
