MEP Supervisor - Water / UPW

Job Responsibilities Supervise and oversee the construction and installation of Ultra-Pure Water (UPW), Process Water, and Industrial Wastewater systems. Supervise high-purity piping (PVDF, clean PVC), pumps, storage tanks, RO/EDI units, UV sterilizers, filtration skids, and valve manifolds. Oversee advanced fusion welding methods (e.g., IR/butt fusion, beadless/BCF welding for PVDF) and verify weld quality, alignment, and cleanliness. Coordinate piping installation with process equipment, tool hook-ups, and other MEP services. Review piping drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, specifications, and method statements. Monitor piping supports, thermal expansion provisions, cleanliness protocol, and capping during storage and assembly. Coordinate pneumatic/hydrostatic pressure testing, flushing, passivation, sanitization, pre-commissioning, and commissioning. Monitor subcontractor performance, manpower, workmanship, and construction progress. Identify and resolve site coordination, piping routing, and interface issues. Support system handover, QA/QC documentation, and close-out activities. Requirements Diploma or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of relevant high-purity piping, UPW, water treatment, MEP, or EPC construction experience. Certified in MOM-accredited safety courses (e.g., BCSS / SSSC); possession of CSCPM, Confined Space Safety Assessor/Supervisor, or PVDF welding inspection certifications will be an added advantage. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred to handle both technical submittals and ground-level subcontractor supervision. Proven ability to supervise high-purity plastic piping fabrication and clean installation on site. Experience supervising subcontractors and piping specialists. Able to read and interpret piping isometrics, P&IDs, and layout specifications. Experience in semiconductor wafer fab, cleanroom, or pharmaceutical facility projects is preferred. Knowledge of UPW system testing, flushing, and commissioning protocols is an advantage.
