MEP Supervisor - GAS

Job Responsibilities Supervise and oversee installation of Bulk Gas (CDA, GN2, LOX, LAr) and Specialty/Toxic Gas distribution systems. Supervise high-purity and ultra-high-purity (UHP) stainless steel piping (EP/BA tubing), Gas Cabinets (GC), Valve Manifold Boxes (VMB), gas panels, regulators, and valve manifolds. Oversee automatic orbital welding, borescope weld inspections, and weld log documentation. Coordinate gas piping routes with process equipment, tool hook-ups, and other MEP services. Review gas piping isometrics, P&IDs, layout drawings, specifications, and method statements. Coordinate high-pressure pneumatic testing, helium mass spectrometer leak testing, moisture/oxygen analytical testing, and particle counting. Monitor purge sequences, nitrogen blanketing, and system pre-commissioning. Monitor subcontractor performance, manpower, workmanship, and construction progress. Enforce stringent hazardous gas safety standards, Permit-to-Work (PTW) protocols, and project quality requirements. Requirements Diploma or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of relevant process piping, UHP gas, industrial gas, MEP, or EPC construction experience. Certified in MOM-accredited safety courses (e.g., BCSS / SSSC); possession of CSCPM, Confined Space Safety Supervisor, or specialized UHP piping/welding certifications will be an added advantage. Fluent in English and Mandarin is preferred to coordinate complex hazardous gas work with international clients and local subcontractors. Proven ability to oversee specialty/bulk gas system installation activities on site. Strong hands-on knowledge of orbital welding standards, borescope inspection, helium leak testing, and high-pressure safety procedures. Experience in semiconductor fabrication plants, gas distribution EPCs, or high-tech cleanroom projects is preferred. Able to read and interpret piping isometrics, P&IDs, and hazardous area classification drawings.
