MEP Design Manager

Key responsibilities:

• Build, lead, and mentor a multidisciplinary MEP design team in Egypt
• Manage project assignments, resources, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
• Coordinate daily with Burman Engineering’s U.S.-based leadership and project teams
• Review designs, calculations, specifications, drawings, and technical submissions
• Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. codes, standards, and client requirements
• Establish effective design, quality-control, BIM, and project-delivery procedures
• Support recruitment, performance management, training, and professional development
• Identify technical risks and ensure projects are delivered accurately and on schedule
• Promote consistent use of Revit, BIM coordination, and other engineering technologies

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent professional registration is strongly preferred
• Minimum 12 years of MEP design experience, including at least five years in a management role
• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Strong knowledge of U.S. building codes and standards, including IBC, IMC, IPC, NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE, and applicable energy codes
• Experience delivering U.S.-based projects is highly preferred
• Advanced knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, BIM coordination, and design-management systems
• Strong quality-control, communication, leadership, and organizational capabilities
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Experience with U.S. federal or U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects is an advantage

The position is based in Egypt and requires regular coordination with U.S. teams and availability during agreed overlapping working hours. Qualified candidates are invited to submit their CV and a summary of relevant project experience
