Your tasks:

This position is a practical and execution-oriented activity in operational purchasing. The focus is on the daily processing of standardized procurement processes, particularly the handling of requests for quotations, purchase orders, supplier follow-ups, supplier master data, and purchasing-related tickets in SAP or comparable procurement systems.

The position does not include responsibility for commodity group strategies, management of strategic sourcing projects, or independent leadership of complex contract or price negotiations. It is particularly suitable for individuals who enjoy working directly in operational purchasing processes and want to consciously focus on daily implementation.

• Operational processing of procurement processes for direct and indirect materials, aviation components, general goods, and services
• Creation, approval, modification, and maintenance of purchase orders
• Processing of purchase order value increases as well as contractually related price changes
• Execution of standardized requests for quotations based on defined requirements and specifications
• Direct communication with suppliers regarding offers, documents, order confirmations, delivery dates, and open requirements
• Follow-up of purchase orders, goods receipts, documents, and supplier feedback
• Proactive clarification of outstanding processes
• Processing of confidentiality agreements and maintenance of correct purchasing and supplier data in web-based systems
• Coordination of the creation and modification of supplier master data with the Global Vendor Master Team
• Processing of supplier extensions as well as blocks and unblocks
• Processing of purchasing and sourcing-related tickets
• Regular and transparent status communication to internal contact persons
• Ensuring agreed processing times, service levels, and quality standards
• Support of strategic purchasing teams through correct and timely operational implementation
• Identification of improvement opportunities in transactional processes, data quality, and operational efficiency
• Compliance with standardized purchasing processes and active participation in a performance-oriented and customer-oriented work culture

What you bring to the table:

• Several years of recent and practical professional experience in operational purchasing, transactional purchasing, Procurement Operations, supplier coordination, Supply Chain Operations, or in a purchasing shared service environment
• Demonstrable experience in the independent creation and modification of purchase orders
• Practical experience in processing requests for quotations and supplier follow-up
• Experience in the maintenance and coordination of supplier master data
• Practical user knowledge in SAP, iValua, Coupa, or a comparable purchasing or procurement system
• Experience in processing a high volume of standardized and recurring purchasing processes
• Very careful, structured, and reliable way of working
• Good ability to prioritize and high attention to detail
• Clear motivation for an execution-oriented operational position without responsibility for commodity group strategies or the management of strategic negotiations
• Strong service orientation when dealing with internal contact persons
• Business fluent written and oral English skills
• Confident handling of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work successfully in an international environment with different cultures, business areas, and standardized global processes
