Your tasks:
- Support in the planning, implementation, and documentation of passive network infrastructure such as structured cabling, copper and fiber optic infrastructure, data outlets, patch fields, and connection assignments
- Creation, coordination, and tracking of demands in the field of passive IT infrastructure as well as the introduction of WAN and LAN services
- Collaboration in the implementation of IT infrastructure and network projects at various locations in Germany in cooperation with external specialist planners
- Accompanying coordination and meetings with external electrical specialist planners as well as communicating customer-specific or company-specific requirements
- Ensuring compliance with relevant norms, installation guidelines, and standards for structured cabling, fiber optics, copper cabling, and passive network infrastructure
- Coordination of internal IT teams, external service providers, specialist planners, suppliers, and other project participants
- Analysis of technical requirements as well as participation in the conception of network solutions, data networks, LAN/WAN services, and physical IT infrastructure
- Support during acceptance, testing, quality assurance, and technical inspection of the installed network infrastructure
- Documentation of network structures, cabling, patch plans, and infrastructural changes
- Support of the internal IT/DC team in project planning, project execution, and operational implementation on site
- Maintenance and further development of infrastructure know-how at the location as well as contribution to a stable, high-performance, and norm-compliant passive network infrastructure
What you bring to the table:
- Completed training and/or further education as a Techniker (m/f/d), Meister (m/f/d), or comparable technical qualification; alternatively, a completed degree in a relevant field
- At least three years of professional experience in the field of IT infrastructure, network infrastructure, passive network technology, or structured cabling
- Experience in the planning, coordination, or implementation of IT infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of relevant norms, standards, and installation guidelines for passive network infrastructure, especially structured cabling, fiber optics, copper cabling, and data outlets
- Basic understanding of data networks, network topologies, LAN/WAN services, and physical IT infrastructure
- Knowledge of network technology as well as experience in technical project execution
- Confident handling of the documentation of network structures, patch plans, and cabling information
- Business fluent English skills in speaking and writing
- Class B driver's license as well as willingness to undertake project-related business trips within Germany
