Job Description
We are recruiting a Configuration Management Engineer to join our Defense & Security BU within the Direction Matériel & Déploiement agency, whose main mission is to put its skills and resources at the service of internal and external clients in the fields of equipment design, installation, and deployment. It also has a site and factory support role, ensuring the realization and monitoring of repairs and spare parts. This department intervenes from the upstream phases (responses to calls for tender) to the downstream phases (removal and decommissioning of systems).
You will join a hardware design department of 20 to 30 people, in a field of varied applications such as air traffic control, the design of civil and military voice communication systems, anti-drone warfare, and operational condition maintenance.
Your missions: Ensure the configuration management (HW/SW) of equipment under development and in series:
- Create the product, subsystem, or system tree,
- Identify, record, and create references for configuration items,
- Perform modifications and updates to configurations,
- Write configuration management plans and other documents related to configuration management,
- Propose improvements to the PLM tool within the scope of the activity,
- Preparation of internal or external audits,
- Participation in responses to calls for tender.
Occasional travel is to be expected for this position.
The technical environment:
- Embedded systems electronics,
- Critical systems environments (Anti-drone warfare, air traffic control),
- Mastery of configuration management processes,
- Knowledge of ISO 10007 standard,
- Mastery of 3DS PLM software,
- An operational level of spoken English is necessary for this position.
Qualifications
With a Master's degree (Bac+5), you have 3-5 years of experience in the Defense or aeronautics field. Possessing an operational level of spoken English, you master electronic and mechanical systems, as well as a PLM tool. You are autonomous, a good communicator, and possess an excellent ability to synthesize, capable of quickly analyzing complex situations and proposing effective solutions.
