Job Description
We are recruiting an experienced Engineer in the field of Space surveillance to join our Space Business Unit within the Situational Space Awareness activity direction. Our entity specializes in the fields of space security and surveillance.
Your Missions
You will come to strengthen our team of engineers who participate in R&D type studies and tool development in this field. Cataloging and assessment of the space situation. Space situation analysis: collision risks, risky atmospheric re-entries, fragmentations/explosions, anomalies such as maneuvers or launches. Debris population modeling. Collision risk estimation at launch and in orbit.
Technical Environment
- Space mechanics
- Principles of cataloging objects in orbit
- Space surveillance strategies
- Detection and calculation of collision risks
- Applied mathematics: algorithmics, probability, covariance propagation
- English: Written and oral
Qualifications
With an engineering background or a university degree of equivalent level (Master's/Bac+5), you have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of space mechanics applied to the field of Space Surveillance. Mastery of coding, development, and validation, notably in Java and Scilab, is indispensable for the performance of your duties.
You possess very good analytical and comprehension skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, allowing you to communicate effectively within teams.
