A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Hull is looking for a CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified Corporate Tax Senior to work across a varied portfolio of corporate clients, supporting managers and partners on compliance and advisory assignments.

Hull has a diverse and active commercial community, and the firm's client base reflects that, offering real technical breadth. The firm has a strong local reputation and a structured pathway to Manager. Crowe Watson Recruitment has a strong presence across the Yorkshire and Humber market.

What's the day to day of the role:

  • Preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns and computations across a varied portfolio
  • Supporting managers and partners on advisory work including group structures and tax planning
  • Building client relationships as a reliable and knowledgeable point of contact
  • Keeping up to date with UK corporation tax legislation and communicating changes to clients
  • Identifying tax planning opportunities across the portfolio
  • Supervising and developing junior members of the corporate tax team

Required skills and qualifications:

  • CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified with a solid corporate tax background gained in practice
  • At least three years' experience within a UK Practice environment
  • Proven experience preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns and computations
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax legislation and current developments
  • Confident client facing manner, commercially minded, with the ambition to progress to manager level
