Video Annotator | $6/h Remote

Position: Video Annotator Shot Boundary Detection Type: Short-Term Contractor (8 weeks) Compensation: $6 per hour Location: Remote Commitment: Full-time, 40 hours per week with at least 4 hours overlap with PST Role Responsibilities

Watch video clips frame-by-frame and identify all shot boundaries. Create a "Shot Card" for each shot, capturing start and end frames. Identify and label shot transition types and subtypes, including cuts, fades, dissolves, and wipes. Group shot cards into scene buckets based on narrative or event continuity. Classify video clips and scene buckets by relevant categories and genres.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in video/film editing, content creation, or video production. Strong understanding of shot composition, editing techniques, and transition types. Sharp attention to detail and ability to distinguish subtle visual cues, such as panning/zooming versus an actual shot change. Comfortable working with annotation tools and following structured labeling workflows.
