Work site environment:

Hog and pig farming. Work setting: Rural area. Remote location. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Willing to relocate.

Tasks:

• Diagnose livestock health issues.
• Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses.
• Handling animals.
• Monitoring animal health.
• Perform livestock feeding.
• Treat livestock health issues.
• Feed and tend animals.
• Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed.
• Maintain livestock performance records.
• Maintain quality control and production records.
• Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens.
• Maintain work records and logs.
• Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry.
• Perform general farm duties.
• Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops.

Transportation/travel information:

Public transportation is not available. Own transportation.

Work conditions and physical capabilities:

Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling.
