R&D Manager M/F

About the company

Our agency is looking for, on behalf of one of its clients recognized in the agri-food sector, a Site Research and Development Manager (M/F).

Your tasks

You will be responsible for the innovation, development, and industrialization of new products and products already in production at the site.

The main missions entrusted to the candidate will be as follows:

• Deploy the group's Research and Development strategy: implement the roadmap, build an innovation plan.
• Drive the development and industrialization of new products and renovations: raw material sourcing, formulation, packaging choice, process, industrialization.
• Allocate projects to your team and ensure their management in compliance with objectives.
• Guarantee the proper functioning of the laboratory, benchtop trials, pilot trials, and industrial conditions.
• Coordinate cross-functional actions between different departments (Packaging, Purchasing, Production, Quality, Sales, Marketing...)
• Lead post-production meetings and project retrospectives, following progress indicators.
• Stimulate monitoring of customers, competition, and suppliers internationally, notably via professional trade fairs.
• Prepare and lead innovation workshops with multinational clients, in English.
• Act as a technical expert on various issues (change of raw materials, transfer of recipes between sites, process improvement...)
• Supervise, recruit, train, and develop a team composed mainly of Research and Development project managers.

Requirements

Education and experience sought

• Master's degree in engineering (Bac+5) in agri-food
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Research and Development
• Proven experience in team management
• Multi-site and/or multi-country experience will be appreciated

Expected technical skills

• Fluent professional English level, both spoken and written; mastery of other languages (notably German) will be an asset

What we offer

Proposed conditions

• Contract type: CDI
• Remuneration: between 45,000 EUR and 55,000 EUR gross per year depending on profile and experience, to be negotiated
• Work location: 25 minutes from Montargis
• Occasional business travel to be expected in France, Germany, Europe, and internationally (approximately 1 day per month)
