International Sugar Trader
Job Summary The International Sugar Trader is responsible for developing and executing international sugar sales, managing customer relationships, monitoring global sugar market developments, and identifying new business opportunities. The role works closely with customers and internal stakeholders across trading, operations, logistics, and production to ensure effective trade execution and achievement of sales and profitability targets. Key Responsibilities •Execute international sales and trading activities for sugar products in line with the company’s commercial strategy, sales targets, and profitability objectives. •Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, traders, and business partners to strengthen existing business and identify new sales opportunities. •Monitor and analyse the international sugar market, including global sugar prices, futures markets, supply and demand fundamentals, trade flows, market news, government policies, and trade regulations. Prepare regular market updates, price outlooks, and market analysis reports to support commercial and management decision-making. •Prepare and manage sales-related documentation, including sales contracts, customer profiles, sales reports, and other commercial documents. •Coordinate closely with customers and internal/external stakeholders, including the futures trading, operations, logistics, sugar factory, and shipper, to ensure smooth trade execution.
Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. •Minimum 2 years of experience in international trading, export sales, or a related business. •Experience in sugar or agricultural commodities trading businesses would be an advantage. •Good command of written and spoken English. •Proficiency in Chinese would be an advantage. •Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
