The "Capital Markets - Placement Solutions" department, located within the CIC CIB trading floor, creates, promotes, and develops investment solutions primarily intended for the Retail, Private Banking, Corporate, and Institutional markets of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale, while ensuring the interest of the clientele. The Secondary Quant & Structuring desk is at the heart of this department's development. The desk is composed of traders/structurers who ensure product liquidity and propose restructurings, and Quants who manage pricing models and various quantitative topics of the activity. Missions: Quantitative research, modeling, and development of pricing tools

  • Design and maintain the quantitative libraries used for pricing structured products.
  • Optimize calculation engines (Monte Carlo, PDE, advanced numerical methods).
  • Industrialize developments in a production environment.
  • Analyze and document model choices.
  • Audit of models used: Documentation of model Calibration methodologies (Rates, Equity, Credit, Hybrid...).
  • Explanation of index performance and expansion of the index range: Backtesting of indices and structured strategies.
  • Development and maintenance of market parameter screening tools using VBA, Python.
  • Quantitative Research and Innovation, notably by including an ESG dimension.
  • Reflection on AI and bot development.

Risk analysis, reporting, and regulatory work

  • Participation in P&L analyses and risk investigations: Control of mark-to-market discrepancies on hedging operations in connection with the Middle Office/Risk Department and explanation of product valuations.
  • Development and maintenance of reporting and statistical tools on the activity.
  • PRIIPs methodology and key information documents:
  • Evaluation and pedagogy regarding scenarios for PRIIPs.
  • Consistency check of risk indicators and their calculation models with regulatory requirements.
  • Quantitative work related to Value for Money.

Structuring & Sales Support

  • Support the Structuring & Sales teams in the design of new products.
  • Provide quantitative expertise on complex transactions.

Scientific training (Engineering School, M2 University / Maths option finance). Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience on a trading floor or in a similar financial environment. Ideally with direct exposure to Trading, Structuring, or Structured Product Sales teams.
  • Significant experience in structured products and exotic derivatives.

Required skills:

  • Mastery of Pack Office and VBA/Python (another programming language would be a plus).
  • Ability to work under pressure, autonomy, rigor.
  • Ability to communicate both in writing and orally / Reactivity / Initiative.
  • Mastery/ability to adapt to Front Office tools.
  • A successful first experience on a trading floor is a plus.
  • Mastery of complex financial products.
  • Mandatory knowledge of x-asset valuation models (Hull & White, LMM, Heston, Local Volatility Model, Copulas...) and advanced numerical methods.
  • Proven experience in the calibration of these models.
  • Development via a tool such as Summit, Murex, Sophis, Lexifi, ... would be a plus.
