Senior Paraplanner

London, City Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 depending on experience Working pattern: 9–5, hybrid – 2 days from home

The Opportunity/The Business

Our agency is working with a boutique Chartered wealth planning firm in London City. You'll be joining a small, collaborative team of eight , based within a modern WeWork office in Bank who are looking to bring an experienced Senior Paraplanner into their close-knit team.

This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys the technical side of financial planning and wants to work closely with advisers as a technical consultant, rather than simply receiving instructions and producing reports.

You'll work closely with the Lead Adviser and Director, as well as another adviser within the business , getting involved throughout the advice process and contributing to the development of recommendations, as well as sitting in on client meetings and acting as a point of technical guidance and mentorship for the wider team.

The Role

Your experience will be particularly valued across areas of more complex holistic financial planning, with exposure to areas such as:

• Cash flow forecasting and financial modelling
• Inheritance Tax planning
• Researching complex financial planning solutions
• Working collaboratively with advisers to develop and challenge recommendations
• Sitting in on client meetings and contributing from a technical perspective
• Preparing suitability reports and supporting documentation
• Conducting detailed research across pensions, investments and wider planning areas
• Working alongside an outsourced Paraplanner who provides additional support with suitability report writing

A Senior Role Within the Team

Alongside the technical responsibilities, this person will become a senior and steady presence within the team , providing guidance and support to other Paraplanners and Administrators.

They are looking for someone who naturally enjoys sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues and acting as a technical sounding board.

Equally, if your ambition is to progress into financial advice, the Adviser is very supportive of this route. They are currently developing someone we placed into the business last year towards becoming an Adviser, so there is a genuine example of this progression within the team.
