Temporary Financial Accountant

Location: Chesterfield Contract: Temporary, 6 months Hours: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday office based Start Date: ASAP Salary: £35,000

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable accountant to join our professional services business in Chesterfield on a temporary basis for an initial six-month project . This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who can quickly get up to speed, work independently, and provide accurate and efficient bookkeeping support throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping and financial transactions
• Processing sales and purchase invoices
• Bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
• Maintaining the purchase and sales ledgerss
• Resolving queries and discrepancies
• Providing general finance and administrative support as required
• Helping to ensure financial records are accurate, complete and up to date

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• You will have a strong track record in accountaning in your career to date
• Confident working independently and managing their own workload
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable working with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Reliable, professional and able to work to deadlines
• Experienced within a professional services environment would be advantageous
• Immediately available or available to start at short notice would be beneficial
