Junior Strategy & Transformation Consultant

The role within CowManager CowManager supplies cow monitoring systems to professional dairy and beef farms worldwide. We are a tech scale-up with 250+ employees, active in more than 40 countries and with entities in, among others, the Netherlands, the US, New Zealand, Germany, and the UK. We see plenty of opportunities in the market and have large international growth ambitions. That growth continuously brings new strategic and transformation challenges.

As a Junior Strategy & Transformation Consultant, you will become part of the Strategy & Transformation team, consisting of the Head of Strategy & Transformation and two Strategy & Transformation Leads. Together with the management team, you will work on the strategy of CowManager, support strategic decision-making, and help realize important transformations from start to finish.

The projects are very diverse. For example, you will work on developing and translating multi-year strategies into concrete plans, including go-to-market plans for different countries. You will also work on optimizing the operating model, new product launches, and operational improvements that contribute to scalability, efficiency, and sustainable growth. In doing so, you will work closely with teams such as Product and Commerce and receive increasing responsibility for strategic issues and transformations.

What you will do

Collaborate on the strategy of CowManager and translate this into concrete plans and initiatives;

Support the management team in strategic decision-making, for example, regarding new platforms, expansion of production capacity, or entering new markets;

Manage strategic transformation projects end-to-end, from initiation to implementation;

Collaborate on strategic and operational issues within, among others, Commerce, Product Management, and Finance;

Create buy-in and involve internal and external stakeholders, for example, by facilitating workshops, bringing interests together, and aligning with teams and management;

Analyze our company and the market to support data-driven decision-making, for example, by analyzing the profitability of different channels and advising on this;

Get your hands dirty to actually realize change, both at our headquarters in Harmelen and in the countries where we are active.

Who are you?

A HBO or WO degree in the field of strategy, business administration, or another relevant field;

1–3 years of relevant work experience in which you have built a strategic toolkit;

Conceptual thinking ability and strong analytical skills;

Affinity with technology and digital solutions. Experience with hardware, product development, or digital solutions in the agricultural market is a plus;

The ability to communicate easily with various stakeholders and bring people along, in both Dutch and English;

A pragmatic and proactive approach and the drive to achieve and secure results;

Enthusiasm to work within a fast-growing organization in agriculture.

A variable year-end bonus up to 10% of the annual salary;

What does the application process look like?

After your application, our recruitment team will assess your profile and, following a positive evaluation, a short telephone introduction will follow. After that, you will have a first interview with direct colleagues from the team, including a short case to test your analytical ability and strategic insight.
