Role Overview
We are looking for a Staff Network Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain a secure and efficient enterprise network infrastructure for Fulfillment Centers (FC), Camps, and Data Centers. In this role, you will serve as a senior member of the network team, understanding business requirements and solving and optimizing network issues for users and customers. To perform successfully, excellent problem-solving skills, crisis management skills, and the ability to communicate and collaborate smoothly with other departments are essential. Additionally, to support Coupang's distributed logistics infrastructure environment, you must have no restrictions on field movement and business travel, and possess the ability to flexibly collaborate with team members from various countries in a global environment to complete projects.
Responsibilities
Design, plan, build, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure (LAN, WLAN, WAN, Network Security) supporting Fulfillment Centers (FC), Delivery Centers (Camps), and Data Centers.
Collaborate with the FC Design team to develop scalable, resilient, and cost-optimized network architectures.
Identify business requirements and provide effective network solutions by collaborating with Automation, Robotics, FC Operations, Infrastructure, Security, and other IT teams, as well as external vendors.
Lead technical responses during serious incidents and service disruptions, and resolve complex network, wireless, WAN, and security-related issues (Crisis Management & Problem Solving).
Deeply analyze network performance, availability, and traffic data to proactively prevent potential issues and continuously optimize infrastructure.
Perform high-quality technical documentation and assetization, including network standards, architecture design documents, operational guides, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports.
Support the deployment, integration, and operational management of automation, robotics, warehouse systems, and enterprise applications within a secure network environment.
Manage diverse and complex projects and perform mentoring and training of team members.
Ensure compliance with security, software, operations, and global network standards.
Manage lifecycle activities, including network capacity planning, hardware replacement, and software maintenance, to support business growth.
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of experience in large-scale enterprise network design, planning, construction, and operation.
Deep understanding and solid background knowledge of communication protocols (TCP/IP, etc.), routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), and switching technologies.
Expertise in Cisco and Juniper (HPE) enterprise switching and wireless infrastructure technologies.
Experience in designing and operating enterprise security and network infrastructure solutions (Fortinet/Palo Alto/Zscaler firewalls and VPN, Cisco ISE, DHCP, etc.).
Possess data-driven analytical skills using network diagnostic/monitoring tools and the ability to write complex technical concepts into clear documentation.
Sharp problem-solving skills and crisis management skills when critical issues occur.
Strong communication skills for smooth collaboration with internal/external stakeholders and global vendors.
Ability to communicate basic business English with global teams.
No restrictions on business travel and movement to Fulfillment Centers and Delivery Centers distributed nationwide.
Good knowledge of passive networking technologies and structured cabling infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in related fields such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, etc., with 15+ years of relevant job experience.
Extensive experience collaborating with multinational teams/overseas members, and experience leading projects successfully with an understanding of cultural diversity and a flexible attitude.
Possess network automation design and operation capabilities using Python scripting, Ansible, etc.
Hold CCNP, JNCIP, CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent professional certifications.
Experience working in logistics network environments.
Excellent knowledge of network project management principles.
