Purchasing and Import Analyst - San Miguel Petapa

Ensure the efficient and profitable acquisition of all indirect goods and services (MRO, equipment, spare parts, technology, supplies, etc.) necessary for continuous operation. Optimize indirect spending, strategically manage the supplier base, and ensure timely supply through effective negotiations and national and international market analysis.

Functions:

• Guarantee the correct customs process with customs agents; validate documentation, ensure legal compliance (non-tariff regulations), and the correct payment of taxes.
• Quote and coordinate international freight; follow up on shipment status and keep internal clients informed.
• Establish credit agreements with logistics providers, negotiate prices, payment terms, and robust delivery times.
• Maintain, classify, and periodically evaluate a portfolio of reliable suppliers (local and international), actively seeking competitive and innovative options.
• Identify logistics and purchasing savings opportunities; create reports on freight rate trends and provide support with execution plans and scheduled imports.

Requirements:

• Graduate in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Business, or related careers.
• Knowledge in Logistics, International Trade, Operations, Data Management (Data Master / Data Science), or ISO 9000 standards.
• Minimum Experience: 2 demonstrable years as an Import Analyst or Specialist. Local/international purchasing, carriers, customs agents, and port personnel, management of FTAs or commercial agreements.
