A growing freight forwarding business is looking for an experienced Multimodal Freight Forwarder to join their team on a fully remote basis.
The business is continuing to grow and is looking for someone who can take ownership of their day-to-day freight forwarding operations while helping support further growth.
The Role
- Managing multimodal freight shipments from start to finish
- Handling Ocean and Road import and export shipments
- Liaising with customers, carriers, overseas agents and suppliers
- Arranging bookings and managing shipping documentation
- Obtaining and negotiating freight rates
- Managing customer queries and resolving operational issues
- Ensuring shipments move efficiently and to schedule
- Supporting the continued growth of the business
About You
- Previous experience within freight forwarding
- Ocean import and export experience is essential
- Road freight experience is essential
- Multimodal freight forwarding background
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Able to work independently in a fully remote environment
- Commercially minded and proactive
