Job Overview
The Teaching Assistant (TA) is responsible for supporting approximately 30 learners enrolled in Correlation One's online classes. In addition to support during online classes, TAs provide assistance and respond to questions from participants outside of class hours to help them understand and retain the course content.

- Schedule: Starting January 2027 — Every Monday and Wednesday, 19:00–21:30 (JST)
Key Responsibilities
Duties During Online Classes
- Monitor Slack channels opened for the program (live chat channels for receiving questions during class, question channels for participants needing support, channels for sharing supplementary materials, etc.) and respond promptly to questions from participants.
- Reach out to participants after the online class ends to check their understanding of the class content, questions, or any points of confusion.
- Support the facilitation of small-group discussions (breakout rooms) during class as needed.
- Support the smooth progression of the class in the event that the Lead Instructor encounters technical difficulties or is unable to continue the lesson.
Duties Outside of Online Classes
- Monitor relevant Slack channels and respond to questions from participants within 24 hours.
- Encourage interaction and learning among participants by asking questions to participants and sharing relevant information or links in channels used for sharing supplementary materials on Slack.
- If there are important matters during class that need to be shared with Correlation One staff or other instructors, share them in the appropriate Slack channel.
- Review materials such as exercises, projects, and case studies in advance to prepare for upcoming classes and be ready to respond to participant questions.
- Conduct office hours using Google Meet up to 6 times per week to respond to additional questions and consultations from program participants.
- Grade assignments and projects submitted by participants within 7 days of submission.
- Submit weekly reports summarizing weekly achievements, tasks, and observations regarding each participant to share specific feedback with the Correlation One team (Deadline: every Sunday at 20:00 Eastern Time).
- Participate in weekly staff meetings with the Correlation One team and other instructors.
- Participate in all scheduled online meetings with the camera on, maintaining an active and professional attitude.
Participation in pre-TA training conducted before the program start is mandatory. The date and time will be announced separately.
Required Experience & Skills
- Holders of the EPI certified CDCP® (Certified Data Center Professional) qualification.
- Ability to communicate professionally in both Japanese and English, responding appropriately in both oral and written forms.
- Practical experience in data center facilities or similar environments.
- Experience in coaching, supervising, or leading technical teams is welcome. In particular, for those with limited formal teaching or instructor experience, such team development and coaching experience is welcomed.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to support adult learners with diverse learning, professional, and technical experiences.
- Strong interest and motivation in supporting the learning of participants aiming for careers in data center operations or infrastructure fields.
- Ability to think from the participant's perspective and respond flexibly and patiently.
- Holders of foundational IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are welcome.
Location
This position is fully remote. You may apply if you are able to accommodate classes and work according to Japan Standard Time (JST).
