Responsibilities and assignments

• Be responsible for the Management of Critical Business Risks in all stages of the process, such as: Planning, Identification, Qualitative and quantitative analysis, Definition of controls, Performance monitoring, and Critical analysis;
• Analyze and apply legislation related to OHS and critical risk management;
• Plan, perform, and technically advise areas regarding hazard/risk analysis and propose preventive and mitigating actions;
• Implement strategies to increase the safety culture through strategic initiatives linked to performance supervision and monitoring;
• Develop, recommend improvements, and administer Business Risk Management processes; Act as technical support for areas for the review, update, and audit of critical risks;
• Be technically responsible for Legal Programs and OHS and Occupational Hygiene Management Programs (PGR, LTCAT, PPR, PPP, Contractor management, Emergency Management, Occupational Hygiene, Inspections, Legal Compliance, Trainings, Awareness campaigns, PPE Management, DSS, Technical Studies of Unhealthiness and Dangerousness, others); Prepare and consolidate management reports/operational and strategic risk presentations;
• Provide the company's management levels with necessary information regarding operational and strategic risks for guidance and decision-making;
• Act as Manager and Instructor for Safety Technicians, according to qualification/training/experience;
• Prepare, analyze, and ensure records and files of OHS reports/documents;
• Promote hazard/risk analysis for new installation projects;
• Audit and Inspect work areas with a focus on incident prevention and legal compliance;
• Develop and disseminate best practices to increase the prevention culture;
• Advise, train, and apply techniques for cause analysis (Bow-Tie, ICAM, Cause Tree, others), and propose actions to ensure adequate controls;
• Act as technical support in emergency situations and drills;
• Define, monitor, and disseminate OHS Performance Indicators, as well as critically analyze performance with the proposal of preventive actions for performance improvement;
• Prepare material and conduct operational, strategic, and internal auditor training;
• Manage operational costs/investments and service provision contract management;
• Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Policy, other Organization procedures and practices, as well as applicable legal requirements.
• Ensure the organization, cleanliness, and conservation of your work area and safety equipment;
• Monitor and guide service provider companies regarding OHS management;
• Manage Action Plans generated by Inspections from External Bodies.

Requirements and qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Higher Education degree in Engineering;
• Specialization in Occupational Safety Engineering;
• Experience in the exercise of the position and function, in mining.

Professional Qualification:

• Active CREA (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia) registration.
• Valid driver's license (CNH).

Mandatory Requirements:

• Knowledge in business risk management, NBR/ABNT 31.000, NRs, Social Security Legislation, Occupational Hygiene, Fundacentro Standards, e-Social, ISO 45.001 Management Standards;
• Fluent English;
• Extensive experience in mining processes, works, and electromechanical assembly;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
