Location: Hengoed, South Wales (on site)

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000

We're recruiting a Finance Administration Assistant to join an established and supportive finance team within a successful, growing organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a finance background who enjoys variety, takes pride in accuracy and wants to play an important role in the smooth running of a busy finance function.

The Role

Working closely with the Senior Accountant and wider finance team, you'll be responsible for a range of financial administration and operational accounting activities, including:

• Supporting daily banking activities and payment approvals.
• Setting up new suppliers and maintaining accurate supplier records.
• Updating and maintaining financial data within the accounting system.
• Assisting with month-end processes, including bank statements, reporting and reconciliations.
• Supporting audit preparation and responding to information requests.
• Preparing financial and statistical reports.
• Assisting with finance projects, systems and process improvements.
• Providing general administrative support across the finance function.

About You

We're looking for someone who is proactive, organised and enjoys working as part of a team.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Previous experience in finance, accounts or financial administration.
• An accounting-related degree or be studying towards an accounting qualification AAT, ACCA, CIMA.
• Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Office.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• A positive, enthusiastic approach and willingness to learn.
