Deputy Laboratory & Technical Director

Requirements

PhD in Biomedical/ Biotechnology or any other life sciences.

Experience and strong technical knowledge in stem cells, or genetics/molecular diagnostics.

Project management experience.

Laboratory and team management experience is preferable.

Experience working in a commercial / hospital laboratory and/or an AABB-accredited laboratory advantageous.

Must be Hepatitis B immunized.

Description

Provide directions and advice to Management, Lab Managers on all technical and lab operational aspects.

Lead technical and/or laboratory operational developments for the validation and integration of new products, services and processes.

Implementation of new products and initiatives for the company as directed.

Scouting and assessments of potential new products, services, technologies and processes for the company.

Evaluate processing data, ensure product safety, efficacy and endpoints met.

Ensure daily aspects of laboratory processes are performed in accordance with SOPs and quality standards met.

Responsible for lab operations budget planning, and implementation.

Provide training and development, continuing education including speaking engagements.

Oversee cord blood unit or other tissues releases.

Interface with Doctors & clients when required.

Any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager and Management.
