Copper Otter Bar & Grill is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our team on beautiful Pender Island. We?re an independently owned, year-round restaurant serving elevated comfort food in a busy, welcoming environment.

We?re looking for a strong cook and leader who takes pride in great food, works well with a team, and can help keep the kitchen running smoothly during busy services.

What You?ll Do

• Help lead the kitchen team and oversee service
• Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency and presentation
• Assist with ordering, inventory, prep planning and food-cost control
• Train, mentor and support kitchen staff
• Monitor portioning, product rotation and waste
• Maintain excellent food safety, sanitation and kitchen organization
• Take the lead when the Executive Chef is away

What We?re Looking For

• Sous Chef experience or strong senior line cook experience
• Excellent cooking and organizational skills
• Confident, positive leadership
• Dependable and able to perform well during busy services
• FOODSAFE certification preferred
• Availability for evenings, weekends and holidays as required

• $26.00?$30.00/hour, depending on experience
