Your tasks
About the Role We are looking for an Exhibition Designer responsible for delivering exhibition designs from initial concept through to detailed, build‑ready specifications. The role combines creative concept development with technical design documentation to ensure exhibition solutions are innovative, commercially viable, compliant, and executed to a high standard.
The role works closely with sales, design leadership, production, and installation teams to ensure design intent is maintained from client brief through to delivery, while meeting budget, safety, and program requirements.
Concept Design & Creative Development Crafting exhibition concepts, including spatial planning, creative themes, and 3D renderings
Transforming client briefs, brand guidelines, and strategic goals into engaging design solutions
Factoring in visitor experience, operational functionality, and commercial viability during ideation
Guaranteeing that concepts are realistic and ready to move into detailed specifications and build phases
Technical Design & Specifications Generating comprehensive technical drawings and specifications covering materials, dimensions, finishes, and build details
Verifying that all designs align with industry standards, Work Health & Safety regulations, and manufacturing limits
Partnering with production crews, vendors, contractors, and engineers to confirm buildability
Revising specifications across the project timeline to capture all authorized updates
Client & Stakeholder Collaboration Collaborating with sales, project managers, and design leads to align on briefs, budgets, and schedules
Assisting with concept and design pitches while delivering clear creative reasoning
Integrating feedback from clients and stakeholders without compromising the core design intent
Project Delivery Support Handling personal design tasks across several simultaneous projects efficiently
Spotting and fixing structural, technical, or design issues before they cause delays
Helping with on-site evaluations and quality control reviews when necessary
Providing seamless handovers of all design files to the production and installation crews
Design Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement Upholding strict design precision, blueprint quality, and meticulous attention to detail
Aligning all work with the branding and design expectations of DisplayWise and Creative Hire
Keeping track of modern exhibition trends, structural materials, and digital technologies
Pitching ideas and workflows that boost operational efficiency, quality, and market value
Customer Service Teaming up with internal departments to guarantee that the final execution matches client quality expectations
Keeping lines of communication open with relevant teams over the course of each project
