For our Manufacturing Control team, which deals with PLC programming and visualization, we are currently looking for a Junior Automation Engineer with a passion for automation.

Projects from A-Z, that's how we do it!

At Contec, we realize projects from A to Z. As an Automation Engineer, you are not only responsible for the technical aspect: the interim communication with the client and the startup of a wide range of projects are also part of your task package.

• You start by developing a functional analysis (FDS) in which you analyze the client's order (URD) and seek the most optimal solution for this;
• Subsequently, you get to work with the PLC programming and visualization (HMI interfaces). For this, you use the client's standard or our own Contec Software Standard;
• You also ensure the connection and data exchange of the PLCs with higher-level systems. This is in collaboration with our MOM/MES department;
• After the preparation and internal testing at the office, we simulate everything together with the client during a FAT. For this, they are invited to our offices, but it can just as well be done via remote sessions;
• Subsequently, you go on site at the client to test your work in reality (SAT) and to set it up;
• You are also responsible for creating a document with all technical details (DDS), writing the manuals, and providing training to the operators and technicians;
• If the client wishes, we also provide aftercare for the delivered services.

You do all of this in close cooperation with your project coordinator and your team.

• You have a bachelor/master degree in the field of industrial automation, preferably Electrical Engineering or Electromechanics, or you are equivalent through experience;
• You can work both autonomously and in a team;
• You think in a problem-solving and proactive manner regarding projects;
• You possess a driving license B;
• You speak and write fluent English;
• You have an adventurous spirit; you like learning new things and you love exploring the world together. For your colleagues, traveling is a fun and educational experience, so we hope you will become enthusiastic about that too;
