About the Ocyan & Mota-Engil Consortium

The Ocyan & Mota-Engil Consortium was created in 2023, following the award of a strategic contract by Ocyan, in partnership with the Portuguese company Mota-Engil, to execute the revitalization of Petrobras' gas network in the Campos Basin. The project marks the expansion of the companies' activities in offshore EPCI projects (engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation of subsea equipment). Activities will be carried out on the Namorado (PNA-1) and Garoupa (PGP-1) platforms, focusing on the installation of manifolds, flexible pipelines, and other high-complexity subsea equipment. The union between Ocyan and Mota-Engil strengthens the Consortium's expertise: on one hand, Ocyan's solid experience in the Brazilian oil and gas market; on the other, Mota-Engil's recognized international presence, especially in Europe and Africa.We are looking for a Shift Supervisor / TECOP to join the project's OFFSHORE team.Work regime: 14x14 rotation offshore

Responsibilities and duties

The Shift Supervisor / TECOP will be responsible for:

• Executing and supervising offshore installation and recovery operations of subsea systems in a safe and effective manner;
• Ensuring, together with the Surveyor, correct installation coordinates for the positioning of subsea equipment and systems to ensure compliance with standard and executive procedures defined by the engineering and operations team, national and international regulations, and market best practices;
• Coordinating deck, ROV, and marine teams during installation, recovery, and cargo handling maneuvers, ensuring operational discipline and safe working practices;
• Maintaining clear and objective communication with the onboard team and offshore leadership (OMT - Offshore Management Team), ensuring alignment regarding operation progress, deviations, and eventual contingencies;
• Ensuring the quality and safety of operations and compliance with QHSE policies and practices, including conducting risk analyses, daily safety dialogues (DDS), issuing work permits, safety audits, vessel procedures, etc.;
• Supervising the correct assembly, inspection, and use of slings and lifting devices, as well as the arrangement, stowing, and general organization of the deck;
• Preparing operational analyses and detailed technical reports of subsea system installation and recovery activities, ensuring the quality and traceability of information;
• Preparing lifting plans and preliminary risk analyses (APR) for items and activities not covered in standard procedures;
• Identifying, proposing, and implementing continuous improvement opportunities in operational processes and routines, aiming for resource optimization, risk reduction, and performance increase;
• Representing the contractor onboard the vessel, ensuring technical and operational interface with the client (supervision) and with the ROV, deck, and marine teams;
• Performing other related activities, as designated by immediate leadership – if necessary;
• Recording and sharing lessons learned and best practices associated with the activities performed, promoting continuous improvement within the team and the organization;
• Guiding and supporting team development, promoting the transfer of technical knowledge and the dissemination of operational best practices, ensuring the team is aligned with the organization's objectives;

Requirements and qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Oceanography, or related fields
• High analytical and problem-solving capacity;
• Previous experience in team leadership, preferably with multidisciplinary teams (desirable);
• Advanced English;
