ELECTRICAL PROJECTS ENGINEER

Job Objective:

Coordinate and develop medium and low voltage electrical projects, participating in both field activities and engineering, design, calculation, budgeting, and construction monitoring.

The position will be responsible for performing surveys, interpreting technical requirements, developing electrical solutions, quantifying materials, preparing budgets, and coordinating suppliers, providing technical follow-up during the different stages of the project.

Functions and responsibilities:

• Perform technical field surveys to identify existing conditions and requirements for each project.
• Project medium and low voltage electrical installations.
• Design and calculate feeder and branch circuits for single-phase, two-phase, and three-phase loads.
• Perform electrical calculations necessary for project development.
• Prepare and interpret plans, diagrams, technical data sheets, and electrical specifications.
• Develop plans and graphic elements using AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
• Quantify materials, equipment, accessories, and resources required for each project.
• Prepare electrical and construction generators, as well as estimates.
• Perform unit price analysis.
• Prepare technical-economic budgets and quotes.
• Request, compare, and analyze supplier quotes.
• Search for, evaluate, negotiate, and follow up with specialized suppliers.
• Provide technical support during project execution.
• Follow up on modifications and changes in scope.
• Perform management and follow-up of procedures before CFE.
• Integrate and keep updated the technical and economic documentation for each project.
• Coordinate information and progress with engineering, operations, suppliers, and other involved parties.

Indispensable requirements:

Education:

Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Mechanical Engineering, Energy, or a related degree.

Experience:

Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in construction, performing activities related to electrical projects and installations.

Experience in the following is indispensable:

• Medium and low voltage electrical installations.
• Technical field surveys.
• Development and follow-up of electrical projects.
• Preparation and interpretation of electrical plans.
• Calculation of feeders and branch circuits.
• Quantification of materials.
• Preparation of budgets and quotes.
• Construction generators and estimates.
• Technical coordination and follow-up of projects.
• Dealing, negotiation, and follow-up with suppliers.

Required technical knowledge:

• Medium and low voltage electrical installations.
• Electrical substations.
• Emergency plants.
• UPS systems / uninterruptible power equipment.
• Air conditioning.
• Fire protection systems.
• Voice and data.
• Structured cabling.
• Access control.
• Electrical calculations.
• Unit price analysis.
• Budgets and quotes.
• Reading and interpretation of technical and graphic information.
• Management before CFE.
• Basic knowledge of Data Center design and infrastructure.
• Regulations: knowledge of ISO, NOM applicable to electrical installations, NMX, CFE, ANSI, and IEEE specifications and regulations.

Required software:

• AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
• OPUS and/or Neodata.
• Microsoft Office.
• Excel for calculations, budgets, quantifications, and information analysis.
• English: Basic-technical, approximately 30%.

Working conditions:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, full time, and Saturday half day.
• Availability: To work occasionally on weekends or extended hours according to project needs.
• Salary: $20,000 gross monthly.

Requirements
