Job Title: Data Management Analyst

Location: Leatherhead Salary: £28,000 per year Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Data Management Analyst to support the effective management, accuracy, and integrity of data across our business systems and processes.

The role will work across meter data, billing, market systems, CRM, reporting, and financial processes. You will be responsible for reviewing and maintaining data, identifying discrepancies, supporting the resolution of queries, and ensuring information is accurate and managed in line with business processes.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with data, has a methodical approach, and is looking to develop their analytical and data management skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and maintain meter reading data, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
  • Review AMR readings and assist with checking back-end configuration settings.
  • Review billing information and support the investigation and resolution of billing queries.
  • Help maintain data quality and consistency between market systems, internal billing systems, and CRM.
  • Identify discrepancies within data and systems and raise these for further investigation where appropriate.
  • Support the maintenance of engineer route scheduling, ensuring information is kept accurate and current.
  • Maintain and collate data for regular reporting requirements.
  • Assist with preparing and updating reports and spreadsheets.
  • Support financial reconciliation activities and help investigate differences or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and supporting information.
  • Carry out regular data checks to identify missing, inconsistent, or inaccurate information.
  • Follow established processes and procedures to ensure data is managed consistently.
  • Work with colleagues across the business to support the resolution of data, billing, and operational queries.
  • Develop a good understanding of the systems and processes relevant to the role.
  • Contribute to improving the accuracy and efficiency of data management processes.
  • Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as required to support business needs.

Skills & Experience:

Essential;

  • Comfortable working with data and spreadsheets.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, filtering, sorting, and data manipulation.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Analytical mindset with an interest in investigating and understanding data.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow processes accurately while using initiative where appropriate.
  • Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and analytical techniques.

Desirable;

  • Previous experience working with data, finance, administration, billing, or business operations.
  • Experience using Excel to manage or analyse information.
  • Familiarity with CRM, billing, or other business systems.
  • Experience working with reports or reconciliations.
  • Exposure to utility, meter, or market data.

Hybrid Working:

This is a hybrid role, with employees able to work from home for up to two days per week and attend our Head Office in Leatherhead for the remaining working days, subject to business requirements.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, maintaining effective communication with colleagues across the business. You will be expected to manage your workload efficiently, meet agreed deadlines, and maintain a high standard of accuracy and professionalism, with support and guidance available when required.
