We are looking for a Platform Architect (m/f/d) for our agile architecture team at the earliest possible date to take our sourcing platform to the next level. As a Platform Architect, you will play a central role in the strategic and operational further development of our sourcing platform, which includes procurement solutions such as webshops, Punch-Out-Shops, APIs, and much more. You will design innovative, scalable solutions and support various development teams in sustainably optimizing procurement processes for our customers.

Your Contribution to Success

Architecture: You continuously develop, maintain, and optimize the technical architecture of our sourcing platform at both a strategic and operational level.

Architecture Governance: In a complex development organization, you develop effective governance processes and integrate ISO 27001 security standards as well as "Secure by Design" principles to ensure the long-term consistency, security, and future viability of our architecture.

Solution Design: You create solution designs that form the basis for complex projects, working with various teams and departments to find the best possible solutions for our customers.

Hands-On Support: You work within our approximately 15 development teams and provide direct support when needed through programming or by conducting architecture and code reviews.

Best Practices: You rely on proven best practices and contribute to establishing them throughout the entire company to continuously improve our architecture standards.

Coaching: You pass on your knowledge and experience, thereby contributing not only to the further development of our technology but also to our entire company.

Your Success Factors

• Technical Degree: You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Architectural Competence: You have sound knowledge in the areas of software architecture and system design and successfully apply common architectural patterns.
• Extensive Experience: You have at least 10 years of experience in software development, including at least 5 years in a key role with architectural responsibility in an organization with more than 5 development teams.
• Methodology: You are familiar with architectural best practices and act accordingly. Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and modeling techniques (e.g., UML, C4) are part of your standard toolkit.
• Tech Stack: You have experience with at least one of the major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and have sound knowledge of Java, Spring, Kubernetes, as well as common relational and NoSQL databases.
• Security Mindset: You have practical experience with ISO 27001 and Secure Software Development Lifecycles (SSDLC). Furthermore, you know how to balance the rapid deployment of new features with robust security measures such as threat modeling and security architecture reviews.
• Communication: One of your strengths is making complex technical topics understandable and accessible to non-technical colleagues.
• Solution Orientation: You possess the analytical skills and perseverance required to understand and optimize complex processes.
• Languages: You have very good English skills (C1); German skills are an advantage.
