Technical Leader/Architect Java

About the company

Together with our Business Partner from the insurance industry, we are looking for an experienced specialist to implement projects as a Technical Leader/Architect Java.

The Partner is implementing a strategic transformation program connecting business with technology. Its goal is to build a modern ecosystem for claims and benefits handling, based on data, automation, AI, and workflow processes, which is intended to set new standards for customer service in the Polish insurance market.

Your tasks

• Designing a new claims reporting system from scratch in a distributed microservices architecture, along with documenting the architecture.
• Building the system using agentic coding.
• Developing feasibility analyses and implementation assumptions for the purpose of system development.
• Determining the direction of system development and ensuring technological standards and the quality of delivered code.
• Estimating the effort required for programming and architectural tasks, as well as the resources necessary for their execution.
• Coordinating the implementation of production tasks, supervising implementation, code review, and creating technical documentation.
• Ensuring compliance with operational and security requirements in the delivered solutions.
• Providing programming support during the development, deployment, and stabilization stages of the solutions.

Requirements

• Min. 5 years of experience in designing and supervising system architecture (preferably insurance).
• Very good knowledge of Java and Spring.
• Ability to create scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant distributed architectures.
• Very good knowledge of architectural patterns and integration practices.
• Experience in the area of cloud and infrastructure automation.
• Practical knowledge of DDD and experience with Event-Driven Architecture.
• Practical knowledge of API governance.
• Experience in end-to-end observability.
• Experience in conducting code reviews, mentoring, and architectural workshops.
• Experience in co-creating technological roadmaps and risk assessment.
• English language proficiency at a minimum of B2 level.

• Experience with Agentic SDLC.
• Experience in multi-cloud strategies.
• Advanced practical knowledge of DDD.
• Cloud cost awareness.
• Participation in defining technological standards within the organization.
