System Architect (Java)

Together with our Partner from the insurance industry, we are looking for an experienced specialist to provide services as a System Architect. The project involves the development of a system supporting the property insurance area and the transformation of its architecture.

Daily tasks

• Designing and documenting scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant architecture and ensuring its consistency within the developed systems.
• Co-creating technological roadmaps, managing technical debt, and identifying and assessing architectural risks.
• Developing a strategy for migrating the system from a monolithic to a microservices architecture, using a private cloud.
• Developing technological standards, production processes, and DevOps culture, as well as implementing new technologies.
• Co-creating and programming changes in the system that supports processes related to property insurance.
• Conducting consultations, code review, mentoring, and architectural workshops.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and supervising system architecture, including creating scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant distributed architectures. Very good knowledge of Java and Spring, and practical knowledge of architectural patterns and integration practices, including DDD, Event-Driven Architecture, and API Governance. Experience in conducting code review, mentoring, and architectural workshops, as well as providing substantive support to development teams. Experience in co-creating technological roadmaps, risk assessment, and managing technical debt. Experience working with the cloud, infrastructure automation, and end-to-end observability. English language proficiency at least B2 and readiness to provide services from the territory of Poland.

Nice to have:

Awareness and experience in the field of cloud cost optimization (Cloud Cost Management). Experience working with Agentic SDLC and tools supporting AI-assisted development. Participation in defining and implementing technological standards at the organizational level. Experience in designing and implementing Multi-cloud strategies. Advanced, practical knowledge of DDD.
