Reporting to the Head of HR, you will take ownership of the organisation's learning and talent development activity, helping build workforce capability, develop future leaders and strengthen the company's succession and early careers pipeline across multiple UK sites.

This is a varied role combining strategic planning with hands-on delivery, offering the opportunity to make a real impact on how people develop and progress within the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage training compliance, competency frameworks, training matrices and the Learning Management System.
  • Lead talent reviews, succession planning and development programmes for future leaders.
  • Manage apprenticeship and early careers programmes, including provider relationships and apprenticeship levy funding.
  • Support managers with performance development, coaching and career progression.
  • Manage external training providers, budgets and learning effectiveness.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across all UK sites.

About You

You will be an experienced L&D professional with the confidence to influence managers, deliver engaging learning and manage multiple development programmes.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience in a Learning & Development or Talent Development role.
  • CIPD Level 5 in Learning & Development or People Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in training needs analysis, learning delivery and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of talent management, succession planning and leadership development.
  • Experience managing training compliance, competency records and learning systems.
  • Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and analytical abilities.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Experience managing apprenticeships, early careers programmes or working within a regulated environment would be advantageous.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to shape and influence the learning and talent agenda of a multi-site organisation, working closely with senior management and the wider HR team.
