Senior QC Engineer – Manual Testing

Key Responsibilities Analyze business and system requirements to identify test scope, potential risks, and appropriate testing approaches. Establish testing objectives, acceptance criteria, and overall test coverage for assigned products or features. Prepare and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test reports, and other relevant QA documentation. Execute testing activities across Web, Mobile, UI, and API layers based on system specifications. Perform various testing types, including functional, regression, integration, performance, acceptance, load, black-box, white-box, and automation testing where applicable. Design and maintain automation test scripts using available frameworks when required. Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or equivalent. Use SQL to validate and verify application data. Investigate test failures, analyze root causes, and work with relevant teams to address recurring issues. Record, classify, prioritize, and track defects through JIRA, ensuring appropriate follow-up throughout the resolution cycle. Monitor assigned tasks and communicate progress, risks, and issues to the team and project leadership. Collaborate with developers, IT teams, business stakeholders, and other QA members to support product quality. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes within an Agile/Scrum development environment. Required Qualifications Proven experience in software testing / quality assurance. Strong hands-on experience creating and maintaining QA artifacts, including test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test reports. Practical experience with API testing, preferably using Postman or SoapUI. Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and testing purposes. Good understanding of the complete software testing lifecycle and different testing methodologies. Understanding of software development and product delivery processes. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage testing activities across multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Nice-to-Have Hands-on experience with a programming language for test automation. Familiarity with automation frameworks such as Robot Framework or similar tools. Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams. Previous experience testing products in the Financial Services / FinTech domain. Ability to quickly pick up new technologies, tools, and testing methodologies. Soft Skills Proactive and adaptable working style. Strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
